Dutch women's imaging software developer ScreenPoint Medical has secured a contract with the Breast Screening Program in Copenhagen, Denmark, to install its Transpara Breast Care artificial intelligence (AI) software.
The program screens 80,000 women per year and two radiologists read each mammogram. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a shortage of radiologists and delays in women receiving their mammography results, and the program expects Transpara to mitigate this problem by allowing the second reader to concentrate on exams marked high risk, according to ScreenPoint.
