Israeli artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Aidoc has received the CE Mark for AI software that can spot an incidental pulmonary embolism (PE) on contrast-enhanced CT exams and triage these cases for priority review.
The software can flag incidental PEs on scheduled or emergency contrast-enhanced CT scans, enabling sharp reductions in turnaround time for these cases, according to Aidoc. The company believes that the software, along with its other AI triage offerings, can help provide a safety net to healthcare systems for the expected surge of elective medical imaging exams that were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
