Researchers from Iran have developed artificial intelligence (AI) software that can detect COVID-19 on CT scans, according to an article published online on 4 April in The Iranian.
The software is designed for use in areas without access to a specialized doctor or radiologist, according to Alireza Zali, head of the Coronavirus Management Center in Tehran. It also estimates pulmonary lesion volume and evaluates and forecasts future conditions, The Iranian reported.
