The European Society of Radiology (ESR) and the European School of Radiology (ESOR) are hosting a two-day meeting on artificial intelligence (AI) between 5 and 6 April in Barcelona, Spain.
The event will focus on the basic technical principles and concepts of AI and how they are applied to diagnostic imaging and clinical applications. It will also cover the basic concepts of machine and deep learning, the type and consistency of imaging data processed by AI tools, and the technology's main potential and emerging applications in radiology, according to the organizations.
AI luminary Toby Walsh of the University of New South Wales and Australian research network Data61 will give a keynote lecture on AI and radiology and will also join a panel on the future of radiology and radiologists, the ESR and ESOR said.
In addition, an image interpretation competition between radiologists and computers will be held in the final session. Registration is available now on the ESR's website.
