The U.K.'s Alder Hey National Health Service (NHS) Trust said it has installed a number of medical displays from Sony as part of its move to a new facility.
The new hospital building is equipped with 16 operating theaters, of which 13 are outfitted with monitors and camera room technologies from Sony, including two LMD-2765MD surgical monitors per room, providing surgeons with high-quality viewing.
Also, 43-inch Bravia displays have been installed, offering larger visual content for personnel in the operating theaters. Finally, ceiling-mounted SRG-300SE cameras were installed that capture an overview of the entire operating procedure.
The new site also features a large digital aquarium built using three 75-inch Sony professional Bravia displays to help calm anxious children before surgery, the hospital said.
