EUSOBI offers grants to breast imaging young researchers

The European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI) has opened its annual grant application window for researchers below the age of 35.

Interested researchers should plan for a maximum length of one year; however, six additional months may be requested, according to the EUSOBI. Additionally, there are no limitations on study design and thematic areas of projects that can be presented for evaluation.

The EUSOBI recommended that each project be supervised and mentored by a senior member, preferably from the scientific committee or, as an alternative, a senior researcher in breast imaging.

The society has supported a maximum of three research grants each year since 2021. Winning projects in 2024 included "A Prospective Comparative Study of MRI-Guided and CEM-Guided Biopsy for Enhancing-Only Breast Lesions," Nicole Brunetti of Genoa, Italy, and "Longitudinal Assessment of Ultrasound guided-Intralesional Steroid Therapy in Idiopathic Granulomatous Mastitis: Clinical and Imaging Biomarkers," Prof. Emine Meltem of Istanbul, Turkey.

The deadline is 30 June. More details are available on the EUSOBI website.
