The ESR has formed two new committees that will focus on diversity and inclusion and AI and emerging technologies.
The Young ESR Committee will be dedicated to sustainability and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and will be chaired by Dr. Anagha Parkar of the University of Bergen in Norway. The Digital, AI, and Emerging Technologies Committee will focus on developing a strategy for emerging technologies so that the ESR can "keep pace with rapidly developing trends," it said, and it will be chaired by Dr. Ioana Gheonea of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova in Romania.
The ESR is also making some other committee changes, including expanding the scope of its current Communication and External Affairs Committee, which is chaired by Prof. Marie-Pierre Revel of the University of Paris, and moving its Value Based Radiology subcommittee under the umbrella of its Communication and Interdisciplinary Affairs Committee; Dr. Jacob Visser of Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam will serve as chair.
