Clinicians from Argentina have created 3D-printed models of a fetus' face based on ultrasound scans -- allowing blind parents to track the growth of their unborn child, according to a report by Daily Express.
The group, led by Drs. Mario Pellizari and Mario Ledesma from Instituto Oulton en Córdoba, used data from ultrasound scans to create fetal models and then 3D printed the models. The parents were able to feel the changes to the shape and features of their child's face on different 3D-printed models of the child over time.
