Radiation therapy clinic software provider RaySearch Laboratories and Vision RT have integrated the latter's MapRT with RaySearch's RayStation radiation treatment planning system.
The two firms are highlighting the integration at the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) meeting being held in Vienna, Austria.
MapRT cameras image the entire surface of the patient during simulated CT exams. Its software then analyzes this data alongside models of the treatment couch and machine to identify safe gantry and couch angles; these are then represented in a clearance map accessible in RayStation, RaySearch said.
MapRT is approved for CE marking and clinical distribution in the European Union and the U.K., RaySearch noted.
