EANM unveils plans for two new journals

Following the end of its partnership with Springer Nature and the EJNMMI journals collection, the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) is launching its own journals in 2025.

The two new journals, which will be headed by Prof. Arturo Chiti from Milan as editor in chief, will consist of a flagship EANM journal and a journal that is broader in scope, according to a statement from the EANM.

The flagship EANM journal will be aimed at becoming the “leading journal in nuclear medicine and allied sciences, attracting the most significant contributions in the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of radiopharmaceuticals,” the EANM said in its statement.

The other journal will cover wider applications in the field of nuclear medicine.

The journals’ peer-review process will be designed to be quick and efficient, EANM added.

Both journals will be fully open access, according to EANM, and will offer a flexible-format first submission.
