Belgium-based company Ion Beam Applications (IBA) is highlighting its milestone of the sale of the 100th Cyclone Kiube cyclotron, sold to Herlev Hospital, University of Copenhagen, in Denmark.
The cyclotron reaches up to 300 µA proton current. It includes a range of PET radioisotopes production, including fluorine-18 (F-18), gallium-68, zirconium-89, carbon-11, and others used in oncology, cardiology, and neurology imaging. The cyclotron is being used in 40 countries, IBA said.
