Serac Imaging Systems has highlighted results from studies presented at the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) Congress 2024 that used its experimental Seracam portable hybrid gamma-optical camera for small organ imaging.
In case studies, the camera proved highly suited to small field-of-view imaging applications such as the thyroid and parathyroid using technetium-99m and iodine-131 radiotracers, sentinel node localization studies, and bone spot views, the company said. The compact nature and portability of Seracam may offer the potential to integrate scintigraphy within clinical pathways outside of nuclear medicine departments, such as surgical and intensive care settings, Serac suggested.
