Berlin-based Life Molecular Imaging has established a partnership with Oryx Isotopes Industrial Company to produce and distribute Neuraceq in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership grants Oryx the rights to manufacture Neuraceq (florbetaben F-18) at its production facility in Dammam and distribute it in Saudi Arabia and nearby regions, Life Molecular said. Florbetaben F-18 is a radioisotope used in PET imaging in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. The scan visualizes beta-amyloid plaque brain pathology in adult patients with cognitive impairment.
The agreement marks Life Molecular’s first step in providing access to the amyloid PET radiotracer to patients throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the company said.
