Canon Medical Systems has completed its second installation of the company's photon-counting CT (PCCT) scanner worldwide at Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
The company also highlights that clinical research with the system began in late January. Canon entered into an agreement on joint clinical research with the center in November 2023, which is being led by Prof. Dr. Mathias Prokop, PhD, chair of the Department of Radiology at the center. The research will explore the clinical usefulness and potential of PCCT.
Canon will also showcase its product suite at the 2024 European Congress of Radiology (ECR 2024) in Vienna from 28 February to 3 March. Radboud University on 1 March will also host a seminar based on the firsthand experience of using PCCT.
Canon will also host a symposium at ECR 2024 on 1 March from 12:30 to 13:30 CET, Room N (level 1). Remote attendees can also attend the symposium via ECR's meeting portal.
