U.K. charity organizes radiology safety masterclass

The Clinical Human Factors Group (CHFG) is holding a three-hour masterclass on 1 December that will focus on the use of the Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety (SEIPS)

The CHFG is a U.K.-based charity that works with healthcare professionals, managers, and service users partnering with experts in human factors from healthcare and other industries to campaign for change in the National Health Service (NHS) and healthcare in general.

The group's SEIPS trainer, Dr. Dawn Benson, has extensive experience in the optimum use of technology in health and social care safety investigation. She will be joined in these masterclass sessions by clinical subject experts.

"I'm really looking forward to this course as patient safety is fundamental to our work," noted Dr. Catherine Mandel, MRI radiologist at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, director of radiology for WA Country Health Service, and an active member of the AuntMinnieEurope.com editorial advisory board. "Learning how we can make our environment and processes safer by design from a masterclass dedicated to radiology will help us with our work."

The course begins at 9.30 a.m. U.K. time. The registration fee is 75 pounds. For more details, go to the CHFG website, or contact Rebecca O'Leary at [email protected].

Editor's note: The event organizers are offering readers of AuntMinnieEurope.com a discount of 15%, the code for which is CHFG15.
