Week in Review: Interview with ECR President | Live music in Vienna | Brussels AI summit

Dear AuntMinnieEurope Member,

One of the many impressive things about Prof. Andrea Rockall is that she spends two days a week on clinical work, reporting genitourinary scans. This is in addition to serving as ESR/ECR president, managing a large radiology department in London, teaching trainees and medical students, and conducting her own research.

Another sign of her personal commitment to radiology is that she was willing to spend last Sunday morning speaking on Zoom with our associate editor, Frances Rylands-Monk. You can discover more about her professional and private life in this exclusive interview.

Vienna -- the home of ECR since 1991 -- is famous for its classical music, but it's less well-known for its jazz and rock clubs. Claudia Tschabuschnig has compiled a practical guide to live music on offer during the congress. She's also shared a selection of her own video clips.

An important meeting about AI use took place earlier this month in Brussels. Over 160 experts in policymaking, research, healthcare, and industry were at the groundbreaking event. Don't miss our report from the summit in Belgium.

Device integration and interoperability is one of the key global healthcare trends identified by market analysts at Signify Research. To learn more about these trends, check out the report by Kelly Patrick and her colleagues.

One area in which the detection of AI misuse falls particularly short is in image generation and manipulation, and developing better methods for spotting the misuse of AI in research images and figures is increasingly important, Swiss authors say.

ECR 2025 begins on Wednesday 26 February, and our editorial team can't wait to bring you all the latest news from Vienna. I hope to see you there!
