The Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM) has revealed plans to celebrate the 12th edition of the International Day of Radiology (IDOR) on 8 November. It has published a special poster to promote the event, which is organized by the ESR.
The day aims to make specialty more visible and create greater awareness about the essential value it plays in medicine. SERAM said it will highlight the role of all medical imaging professionals and the impact they generate on health under the motto "Radiologists and TSIDs (senior technicians in diagnostic imaging), accompanying the patient."
The society invites all radiologists, TSIDs, colleagues, and experts to make the efforts of radiology services visible, as well as recognize the fundamental role in active patient care. This includes sending photographs of people's work, with people's colleagues, or any representative image of their respective specialty on social media.
The ESR encourages all radiologists, radiographers, radiological technologists, and professionals in other related fields to join together on this day to recognize and promote the essential role that radiology plays in the patient journey. For more information, go the IDOR website.
