The German radiology group #YesWeCanToo is stepping up its efforts to encourage diversity in the specialty. This autumn will see the launch of a hotline that will give advice and support to everybody with inclusion challenges.

#YesWeCanToo was founded in 2020 by Dr. Katharina Ronstedt of University Hospital Halle and Dr. Katrin Ludwig of Lung Clinic Lostau, and the group was set up alongside the establishment of the diversity network of the German Roentgen Society (Deutsche Roentgengesellschaft, DRG). Part of the group's offerings include a podcast called "Chances instead of deficits -- this is how inclusion works in radiology!" that addresses the topic of disabilities in radiology.

"#YesWeCanToo wants to bring people together who have understood that inclusion is a fundamental prerequisite for a positive change in the world of work and ensures appropriate care for patients in the long term," she noted. " In the long term, we aim for a culture change that welcomes people with different abilities and limitations in radiology and promotes a willingness to adapt working conditions instead of just asking people to adapt to existing conditions."
