The German Radiological Society (DRG) has awarded its Walter Friedrich Prize to Dr. Lisa Christine Adams of Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Stanford University in California for her work on urogenital tumors.
Adams received the award at the recent German Congress of Radiology in Wiesbaden. Her work has focused on evaluating new MRI techniques such as molecular and quantitative MRI in combination with artificial intelligence technology, particularly for urogenital tumors found in renal and prostate cancer.
The Walter Friedrich Prize honors work in medical radiology and radiotherapy, particularly at the intersection of physics, technology, biology, and medical radiology, the DRG said.
