Philips Healthcare has secured a contract to provide its spectral CT scanner to Lyon University Hospital in France.
The device reduces the need for follow-up scans by 26% and overall time to diagnosis by 34%, according to Philips. It features a dual-layer x-ray detector that captures spectral data during routine CT scans, performs body scans in two seconds, and integrates Philips' image-guided therapy system, Azurion with FlexArm, the company said.
