The European Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CIRSE) will host its 38th annual meeting on 10-14 September in Barcelona, Spain. We look at what's going to be hot at this important congress.
The theme of CIRSE 2022 is "Science for People," and it reflects interventional radiology's goal to become an increasingly patient-centered specialty while also increasing evidence-based research, the organizers said.
Highlights of the meeting will include a PAD Day devoted to peripheral artery disease (PAD), the Interdisciplinary Endovascular Aortic Symposium (IDEAS), and various sessions focusing on pediatric interventions. In addition, in parallel to the congress, a photo exhibition for the public will help spread awareness of interventional radiology procedures.
More than 5,000 healthcare professionals from around the world are expected to attend the meeting, which will feature more than 400 lectures in person. At the same time, a custom-built online platform will allow full digital access to all lectures and symposia for those physicians, radiographers, and industry representatives who could not make it to Barcelona.
