Dr. Adrian Brady took over the presidency of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) when ECR 2022 drew to a close. On the final day of the congress, we quizzed him about his hopes and plans for ECR 2023 and the switch to a July date. Brady also spoke about the ESR's position on Ukraine and the notion that ECR is becoming too commercialized.
Brady has been a consultant radiologist in Cork, Ireland, since 1995, having previously trained in Dublin and Canada. His areas of special interest include interventional and abdominal radiology. He was previously chair of the ESR's Quality, Safety & Standards Committee, with responsibilities for patient safety, radiation protection, audit, standards, eHealth & informatics, clinical decision support, and other areas.
