U.K. nonprofit organization Skills for Health is launching a small group to develop a diagnostic imaging option in the apprenticeship standard for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker.
Specifically, the organization's Healthcare Trailblazer initiative is seeking interest from employers who would like to develop the diagnostic imaging support workforce and who would be willing to join a group to draft the content of the apprenticeship option.
Set to be published by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard currently includes six existing options: adult nursing; allied health professional -- therapy; mental health; maternity; children and young people; and theaters. The new diagnostic imaging option would be added as a seventh option.
Those interested in joining the group to develop the diagnostic imaging option should contact Skills for Health by 20 May and share their name, job title, organization name, and a brief outline of their interest.
