The time when we announce the winners of the EuroMinnies awards is always one of my favorite weeks of the year. The joy of the recipients is so uplifting.
There were a couple of notable surprises among the list of winners. It's hard to believe radiologists from the same European institution could win the Most Influential Radiology Researcher award in consecutive years, but that has happened. Also for the second year running, the Best New Radiology Device award went to a low-field MRI scanner, underlining the strong revival of interest in these systems.
