The European Society of Radiology (ESR) has received 6,890 abstracts submitted for next year's European Congress of Radiology -- a significant increase over last year that highlights the scale of the enthusiasm for an onsite congress following the pandemic, the ESR said.
The number of abstracts submitted represents a 74% increase against ECR 2021. Several traditional ECR abstract powerhouses, such as China, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain saw notable submission increases in the triple-digit percentage range. Abstracts were received from 96 different countries.
Submissions were received not only from radiologists but also radiographers, medical physicists, and experts from other medical disciplines. This is a result that fits well with the theme of next year's congress, "Building Bridges," the ESR said.
ECR 2022 will be held in Vienna from 2 to 6 March 2022. Early-fee registration is available now.
