The European Commission has published results from the European Study on Clinical Diagnostic Reference Levels for X-ray Medical Imaging (EUCLID), according to a press release issued by the European Society of Radiology (ESR).
The report, called "European Commission Radiation Protection series publication 195: European study on clinical diagnostic reference levels for X-ray medical imaging," was released by the publication office of the European Union. It introduces the concept of diagnostic reference levels to evaluate patient radiation doses from medical imaging.
The EUCLID project was launched in 2017 and included a network of hospitals in 14 European countries, the ESR said.
