A digital pathology system from Sectra has gone live in the Region of Southern Denmark, connecting lab medicine professionals at four hospitals that are geographically dispersed.
The region is the first in Denmark to move to full-scale pathology, Sectra noted in a statement.
The new system will provide access to images and decision-support tools, as well as artificial intelligence applications, across the four hospitals.
Installation was carried out in accordance with timing and budgetary plans, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Sectra said. The company also offers digital imaging solutions on the same platform for radiology, breast imaging, cardiology, and orthopedics.
