Low take-up of freely available COVID-19 testing in Vienna -- home of the ECR -- remains a problem, and only 13.5% of the city's residents have so far been tested since the scheme began at the start of December, the Local (Austria's news in English) reported on 15 December.
COVID-19 testing sites, including the Austria Center, will remain open until Christmas Eve to allow people to get tested before the Christmas period. The sites use antigen testing, and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests are available for those who test positive for the virus.
The Austrian government is aiming for 60% of the city's residents to get tested, according the article.
