Tens of thousands of radiologists, radiographers, and others participated in the International Day of Radiology (IDoR) 2020 on 8 November. The event was dedicated to medical imaging staff who have been instrumental in the fight against COVID-19.
Engagement reached record numbers, with more than 2,000 separate mentions of IDoR on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, according to a press statement from the European Society of Radiology (ESR). There also were 4.4 million mentions of IDoR-related online activity. The ESR's Twitter posts had more than 105,000 mentions on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook pages, which was a significant increase compared with IDoR 2019, the society noted.
