This year's International Day of Radiology (IDoR) will recognize and celebrate the crucial role that medical imaging professionals have played in diagnosing and treating patients with COVID-19.
The motto for the event on 8 November 2020 is "Radiologists and radiographers supporting patients during COVID-19," and the idea is to highlight achievements and challenges for the specialty since the start of the pandemic. Organizers are planning to create an e-book about the pandemic and are asking medical imaging professionals to submit a written report and pictures illustrating their experiences for inclusion by 5 November. Radiologists and radiographers are also encouraged to publicize their contributions by posting Twitter on 8 November, using the hashtag #IDoR2020.

The event is organized by the European Society of Radiology, the RSNA, and the American College of Radiology, as well as other specialty societies.
