Medical technology company Solutions for Tomorrow has joined forces with the Kamprad Foundation to bring mobile x-ray imaging to patients in Sweden, specifically the elderly.
Three of Solutions for Tomorrow's !M1 mobile x-ray systems have gone live in the Kronoberg, Kalmar, and Jönköping regions of Sweden, thanks to funding provided by the Kamprad Foundation.
The mobile units will help protect elderly patients and those who need to minimize the risk of contracting COVID-19 because they may have imaging examinations at a nursing home or private residence instead of a hospital, the vendor noted.
The venture is thought to be the first time these systems have been used outside a hospital setting.
