Mobile vehicles could be sent out across Scotland to address the screening backlog in its National Health Service (NHS), according to a report from the Evening Express.
NHS Scotland chief executive John Connaghan said that the organization is considering using mobile services for diagnostic exams like CT at the end of July, when health boards have asked that screening resume.
"We need to consider the balance of risks over the next six to nine months in terms of maintaining a COVID-19 response in the system, dealing with the backlog, but also considering workforce, and more importantly the impact of the winter that's coming in 2021," Connaghan said in the Evening Express report.
