Advanced magnetic detection technology firm Metrasens has initiated new patent infringement proceedings against Nanjing Cloud Magnetic Electronic Technology in Shanghai Intellectual Property Court in China.
Malvern, U.K.-based Metrasens previously sued Cloud Magnet and its affiliate Nanjing Hao Le Technology in Nanjing Intermediate People's Court for infringement of its patents and copyrighted materials relating to its Ferroguard ferromagnetic detection systems. In the new suit filed on 5 August, Metrasens alleges that Cloud Magnet has continued to actively and publicly promote products that infringe on Metrasens' patents in China -- in particular, the promotion and offer to sell these products at an exhibition in Shanghai.
The previous case at the Nanjing Court will now be withdrawn, as the infringement claims asserted in that action will be combined into the suit filed at the Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, according to Metrasens.
