Isotope technology firm Eckert & Ziegler and Chengdu New Radiomedicine Technology have agreed to establish a new production facility in Chengdu, China, for radiopharmaceuticals to treat hepatocellular carcinomas.
The joint venture will use the same manufacturing process as Eckert & Ziegler's German plant and will produce yttrium-90 (Y-90). Chengdu New Radiomedicine Technology will be responsible for production, while Eckert & Ziegler will handle sales and marketing, the company said.
