Proton therapy developer Ion Beam Applications (IBA) has received an order from the European Institute of Oncology in Milan for its ProteusOne compact intensity-modulated proton therapy device.
The contract includes a long-term operation and maintenance agreement and is valued between 35 million and 40 million euros, according to the vendor. The hospital expects to begin using ProteusOne for patient treatments in 2022, IBA said.
