The Director General of Health Services in India has filed a report on the suicide of an Indian radiologist who was allegedly bullied by peers at her hospital, according to an article in the Indian Express.
Dr. Poonam Vohra, a senior radiologist from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML Hospital) in New Delhi, committed suicide at her residence on 7 February, according to the article. Two of the three people she mentioned in her suicide note are currently members of the hospital's Annual Confidential Report Committee, of which Vohra was the chairperson.
The Delhi police charged the three doctors named in the suicide note with abetment to suicide, after confirming that the handwriting in the note matched Vohra's, the Indian Express reported.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has confirmed receipt of the director's report and will release its decision by next week.
