Hitachi Medical Systems Europe is unveiling the third generation of its intelligent Vector Flow Mapping (iVFM) technology at this week's EuroEcho-Imaging 2018 conference in Milan, Italy.
Available on the company's premium Lisendo 880LE ultrasound scanner, the latest version of Hitachi's noninvasive intracardiac blood flow visualization technology is designed to provide new information about the intraventricular vortex and its energetic efficiency, including display and analysis of kinetic energy loss, relative pressure, and wall shear stress, according to the vendor. The new embedded iVM features are part of Hitachi's HDAnalytics cardiovascular analysis package, and they are available now for both intracardiac and vascular flow imaging applications.
