The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is planning to heighten its long-term cooperation with African radiology, including by featuring speakers from the continent at an event during ECR 2019.
The ESR meets Africa session is scheduled to cover a variety of topics from the perspective of African healthcare professionals and also showcase Africa's culture through a live musical presentation. ESR is also looking to invite more radiologists, radiographers, and students from Africa to ECR 2019 and provide assistance to potential attendees through its Invest in the Youth and Shape Your Skills support programs.
Along with several African radiological societies, the ESR has been working on improving the delivery of radiological healthcare in Africa, according to the society. The ESR will also attend various national congresses in Africa this year.
Furthermore, ECR 2019 will host ESR meets Pakistan and ESR meets Italy to highlight radiological developments in these countries as well.
