The journal of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), European Radiology, has received for 2017 an impact factor of 4.027, up from 3.967 in 2016.
Founded in 1991, the journal has grown steadily over its 27-year history, the ESR said. Its current editor in chief, Dr. Yves Menu of Hôpital Saint Antoine in Paris, took the position in January of this year and has focused on strengthening the journal's impact factor during his first three-year term.
The journal's cover has also been redesigned in the style of antique German calendar vignettes, highlighting each month's agricultural cycles and seasonal festivals, the society said.
