The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has announced that as a result of an error affecting the ranking of third-year specialty medical training (ST3) posts, recent clinical oncology trainee offers were withdrawn on 4 May.
The Royal College of Physicians assured candidates that they will be reissued by 14 May and this does not affect clinical oncology applicants' appointability in the recent round of national recruitment.
All applicants have received communication from the Health Education England London and South East Recruitment team that explains the issue, what will happen next, and what they need to do. This incident will not have a significant impact on ST3 allocation, the RCR said.
Further information is available via a detailed statement from the Royal College of Physicians.
