The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has released its online radiology referral guide, iRefer8, to general practitioners and referring physicians across Wales and Scotland.
NHS Wales and NHS Scotland have national license for iRefer8, the eighth edition of the RCR's "iRefer: Making the Best Use of Clinical Radiology," which were released in 2017. The document includes more than 280 condition-specific guidelines, as well as features such as personalized guidance list creation, improved search functionality, and new guidance on asymptomatic patients, the college said.
iRefer8 has been integrated into a clinical decision support (CDS) software package produced by MedCurrent, and is currently being tested in a hospital in Sydney, according to the RCR.
