Sectra has added gadolinium tracking in its Sectra DoseTrack dose monitoring software and is showcasing the software at RSNA 2017 in Chicago.
By systematically registering gadolinium information, healthcare providers can reduce the risk of patients experiencing negative side effects of excessively high accumulated levels of gadolinium, according to Sectra.
The cloud-based software automatically collects, stores, and monitors data from all connected modalities and can be configured using local and national dose reference levels (DRL) to allow healthcare organizations to ensure it is performing within expected thresholds, the firm said.
