The French Society of Radiology (SFR) has announced the death of Dr. Jean René Michel, an influential member and contributor at the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux in Paris. He died on 29 March at the age of 95.
Michel was the founder of the Parisian School of Modern Uro-Neurology Radiology at the Clinique du Rein of the Necker Hospital. He also established the first urinary radiology department in 1968, where he served for 20 years. In addition, he was co-founder of the Club du Rein, which is part of the Society of Genitourinary Imaging.
