The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Governing Council said it is accepting nominations for three vacancies on the HIMSS Governance Council for a three-year term between 1 July 2016 and 30 June 2019. Applications must be received by 15 May 2016.
HIMSS is a global non-for-profit organization focused on improving health through information technology (IT). HIMSS Europe began operating in 2006, offering dedicated programs for the continent, including its flagship initiative World of IT conference and exhibition, and eHealth week event, organized in cooperation with the European Commission partners in Europe. It is located in Berlin.
The HIMSS Europe governing council serves as the governing body for HIMSS Europe, appointing member-based work groups who have delegated responsibilities for assisting organization management in executing operational strategies and tactics for programs including WoHIT, eHealth Week, CIO Summit, mHealth Summit, as well as various membership and educational programs.
New members of the governing council will help determine strategic directions for HIMSS Europe and HIMSS Analytics Europe, as well as provide content expertise, and maintain program oversight for the organization.
