In time for the 120th anniversary of the discovery of x-ray in November, renovation of the X-Gedaechtnisstaette Röntgen memorial site has been completed.
Information on the history of x-ray, its founder Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, and other educational features are available in both German and English.
Features include a timeline that documents the discovery and progress of x-ray imaging, as well as personal belongings of Röntgen and related exhibits.
The concept, design, and implementation of the new look was done by the University of Applied Sciences Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt.
The goal is to promote the memory of Röntgen at the site where he discovered x-ray in the former Institute of Physics at the University of Wuerzburg.
