BridgeHead Software, Dell, and Agfa HealthCare have partnered to complete the migration of approximately 1.7 million radiology studies at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the U.K.
The data, which equate to 126 million DICOM images and 27 TB of data, is now archived in BridgeHead's HealthStore vendor-neutral archive (VNA).
The transfer occurred at a rate of up to 1.4 million images per day, according to Bradford.
Data migration from the central data store began at the end of August 2014 and was completed by mid-December 2014. Over this time, the VNA was also accepting new data directly from its PACS.
