Ultrasound therapy developer Theraclion has logged its first sale in Egypt -- of an Echopulse system for thermal ablation of benign lesions for breast fibroadenoma and benign thyroid nodules.
The device will be installed at EgyHiFu, an advanced treatment center in Cairo specializing in treating abdominal pain and prostate tumors using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology, Theraclion said in a statement.
The company said its increased marketing education efforts and increased media attention this year are likely to lead to additional sales.
