U.K.-based after-market CT scanner provider Oxford Instruments Healthcare said it has received approval from the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) to market its refurbished GE Healthcare CT equipment and parts.
With this significant expansion of its approved portfolio, the company said it plans to expand in South Korea by taking on exclusive distributor rights for GE's CT equipment in addition to its current MRI equipment and parts.
The approval is a validation of the company's strict quality management system that adheres to multiple international standards, particularly the strict standards maintained in South Korea, according to the vendor.
