A patient at Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivli, Maharashtra, died when part of a wall-mounted x-ray machine allegedly fell on him, according to a report published by the Times of India.
Central Railway employee Sukhdev Seth was hit by a cyclist and run over by the rear wheel of a bus. He was taken to the hospital for imaging, with injuries to the lower back, thighs, and spinal cord. The x-ray device allegedly slipped from its hydraulic tube and fell on Seth, the Times reported.
The hospital is newly renovated, and recently a technician suffered a head injury in the same x-ray room after a portion of the ceiling fell on her, according to the Times.
