IBA sees drop in fiscal 2013 revenues

Radiopharmaceutical provider Ion Beam Applications (IBA) experienced a drop in revenue from sales and services for fiscal year 2013.

The firm reported sales of 212 million euros in 2013, a 4% decrease from 221 million euros in 2012.

However, the combination of revenues from IBA's dosimetry and service segment grew to 42% of total group revenues in 2013, IBA said. Also, a backlog for proton therapy and other accelerator equipment at the year's end was 183.8 million euros.

IBA expects 5% to 10% revenue growth with 10% operating profit in fiscal 2014, primarily due to increased interest in its ProteusOne product line and pencil-beam scanning technology.
